TNT is an explosive block, which can be ignited to cause an explosion.
Does TNT destroy items in chest? “Yes” TNT can destroy about 70 percent of blocks.
In addition to this, all objects hit by TNT are killed. That’s about everything you can pick up after being dug out or struck by TNT, including the floating version of the sprite blocks.
So if you set up a TNT chain reaction, the second blast would kill 30 percent of the resource that fell in the first blast.
If your aim is to get lots of resources quickly, instead of having all the resources in one place, TNT can always be an effective form of leverage.
But it is almost certainly slower (if more fun) to grow vines by hand to bear TNT with mine than merely digging.
When triggered, TNT turns into an object. It is created in the center of a driven TNT block (+ 0.5, + 0.5, + 0.5), while it is itself a cube with an edge length of 0.98.
Its fuse has a length of 40 redstone ticks (4 seconds/80 game ticks) when triggered by redstone or fire or a random number of 10 to 30 game ticks (0.5 to 1.5 seconds) when destroyed by an explosion
